In this workshop, artist Jose Villalobos will guide participants through the process of creating an image using found objects through the cyanotype process. Invented in 1842, cyanotype is an early photographic technique. Instead of the traditional paper cyanotype, participants will work with cyanotype fabric to create a narrative. They can then embroider onto the fabric to enhance their piece, adding color and depth. Participants are encouraged to bring any small found objects to contribute to their artwork.
